Sejarah

Sejarah Teknik Kelautan ITB
Program Studi Teknik Kelautan Berdiri pada tahun 1994.

Mulai dirintis sejak 1985 melalui program New S1 Ocean Engineering, Proyek Bank Dunia XVII.

Sejak 1994 mulai menerima mahasiswa langsung melalui UMPTN.

Saat ini Program Studi Teknik Kelautan berada di bawah naungan Fakultas Teknik Sipil & Lingkungan.

Oktober 1998 memiliki lulusan pertama. Hingga saat ini jumlah lulusan sudah mencapai + 185 orang.

Visi Misi

MissionThe Ocean Engineering program educates students in a state-of-the-art program of instructions in the field of Ocean Engineering. The program prepares the graduates in the engineering practice, researches, continuing onto graduate study, life-long learning and professional development. The program also promotes knowledge and technology to foster and enable wise and effective use, development and preservation of the ocean and its environment.

Tujuan

GoalProvide quality education for undergraduate and graduate program.

Operate state-of-the-art laboratory equipments for physical, numerical and field modelling in coastal, offshore engineering, as well as naval architecture and coastal management.

Provide short courses, workshops, conferences in Ocean Engineering

Conduct basic researches involving graduate students with competitively sought funding.

Facilitate Ocean Engineering faculties and students cooperation with Ocean Engineering Professional Organizations for certifications/licenses and professional development.

Achieve highest recognition from national and international accreditation agencies.

Kurikulum PS Teknik Kelautan

Kurikulum tersebut akan diubah pada semester depan (Juni nanti), menjadi kurikulum baru 2008

Perubahan besar terjadi, yaitu dengan adanya mata-kuliah mayor dan minor.
